On matchday 16th of the League, Goldstar FC Santa Coloma faced Penya Encarnada, a team that has nothing to do with the one that started the League, now with a new coaching staff and a reinforced squad that is totally different from the last match.
The team came out with the classic 1-4-2-3-1 with the intention of discovering this new team while having possession, tiring the rival and having superiority inside to look for the side centers that gave such good results in the last game with Kilian Grant and Maksim Valadzko thus generating danger.
After several chances on both flanks and good saves by the goalkeeper José Antonio Gomes, international player with the Andorran National Team, the first part became a bit difficult due to the strong wind against and the intensity of Penya Encarnada who was going very well to the second plays and pressing.
In the 38th minute Gerard Moreno, trained at the FC Barcelona school and captain of its youth team, after a corner, scored from a set piece with a header, making the 1-0 and with that result the game came to rest.
In the second half there was more action on the pitch with a score that kept fluctuating.
Goldstar started with the same game system and at minute 55 after a clearance from a corner kick, the rival team hung a ball into the area and their number 9 player Rodrigo Piloto, finished off a goal, thus tying the game 1-1.
There were already several players warming up ready to enter as soon as the Mister indicated it and the first changes took place in the Goldstar ranks, leaving Carles Coto and Miguel Angel López for Octavio Páez and Marc Rebés. Shortly after, Cristian Novoa also entered for Mario Mourelo.
The team with Kilian Grant more advanced in the attack zone on the right wing begins to have more depth and in one of his crosses to Eloy Gila scores the 2-1. We continued to dominate and have possession of the ball and in minute 82 Max Valadzko made it 3-1 after another good move from the wing that ended with a free kick hanging in the area.
Penya Encarnada still had another chance and they took advantage of it by scoring again their number 9 player, finishing off a cross kick and thus ended the game 3-2 after a stoppage time that became eternal for the Goldstar FC Santa Coloma’s fans.
With this victory, the team is in 2nd position, only 1 point behind Atlètic d’Escaldes, getting closer and closer to the leadership.
