With 3 days left to finish the top Andorran competition, Goldstar FC Santa Coloma has already qualified mathematically for the UEFA Conference League.
The victory on the last match together with the defeat of the UE Santa Coloma have made it possible.
The team did not fail in the match against Fútbol Club Ordino. Although they had enough with a draw to qualify, they did not go out to play defensively and already at the beginning of the match the rival goalkeeper had to reject a powerful shot from David Crespo.
Cheryshev’s men continued to dominate and have possession against an Ordino who barely got close to the rival goal. Once again, Crespo found space on the right wing in minute 33 and his cross at the near post controlled by Eloy Gila, who after accommodating the ball, turn and send the ball into the net, raising the score to 1-0.
This result did not serve to relax since in the 43rd minute an Ordino attacker confronted the Goldstar goalkeeper, José Bejarano who left the area, dribbled him and committed a foul that the referee ruled as a red card that left the Colomenses with one man less the whole second part.
In the resumption, the second goal came for Chéryshev’s men thanks to a penalty committed on Kilian Grant that himself materialized in the 56th minute.
Ordino, in numerical superiority, had the ball and sought to tie. Few arrivals for the penultimate placed team in the Multisegur League, but some very clear ones in the minute 75, with a shot saved by the goalkeeper Adrià Collet and another occasion after that was a goal in the 87 minute.
They had another opportunity and continued to attack but the reply from Santa Coloma ended in a penalty on Maksim Valadko that Cristian Novoa materialized to sign the final 3-1 that closed the game.
