Goldstar FC Santa Coloma started the match against Inter Club de Escaldes by opening the scoring in the 2nd minute with a strong shoot from Octavio Paéz that the rival goalkeeper could not stop.

From there, a very midfield match developed and the first half had several opportunities for the two teams that did not materialize. Short possessions and a lot of change of ownership of the ball with some lost that caused some danger. The defenders of the Goldstar and players like Marc Rebés, international for Andorra and great stopper of the National Team, did a good job not allowing the rival to have more chances.

On this occasion David Virgili and Mario Mourelo were playing together trying to get more verticality and the Goldstar was well situated in the field, orderly and with a conservative position trying to maintain the advantage in the score they had from the start of the match.

Just before the 45th minute, Rebés committed a foul for which he received a yellow card and caused Inter de Escaldes’ last chance, which ended with a shot very far from Goldstar’s goal.

Without changes on the field, the 2nd part begins and Santa Coloma’s goalkeeper, José Gomes, stood out, making great saves like the one in the 52nd minute where the opponent’s attack found him in a very good position defending the 2nd post.

In the 64th minute, the changes begin and the author of the goal, the Venezuelan player Octavio Paéz, leaves, with Miguel Ángel Gómez entering. A change in the middle of the field that was followed by the entry of Andreu Ramos and Cristian Novoa in place of David Virgili and Mario Mourelo leaving the team with a more defensive 5-3-2-1 scheme.

The Goldstar goalkeeper continued to safely keep a clean sheet against the opponent’s moderate attacks in several corner kicks until the 82nd minute when, after an attacking move, Andreu Ramos trying to clear a ball, ended up scoring in his own goal.

The final minutes were intense, Santa Coloma trying to break a tie in a match they had won practically until the end and Inter Club also began to believe they could achieve more.

Despite the several attempts, the score ended 1-1 with a distribution of points that leaves Goldstar FC Santa Coloma third in the standings tied on points with Inter Club de Escaldes
