The match of the fourth League Matchday pitted Goldstar FC Santa Coloma against Peña Encarnada, a team practically unknown until now that Cheryschev’s team had not yet faced, who started the match with great intensity and putting pressure on the defense to get closer to the rival goal.
In these first 15 minutes, many chances were created that they failed to score, such as Eloy Gila’s header under the goal line and it was cleared.
Contrary to what Penya did, one of the first times they approached the goal defended by Jose Gomes, they managed to score, specifically in the 17th minute of play.
Goldstar tried to change the direction of the match but with little aggressiveness, not reaching depth in the actions.
Almost at the end of the first half, minute 40, the rival had a new opportunity that was saved by the Santa Coloma defense.
In the second half, the Colomenses took a step forward, wanting to turn the score around and enjoyed some chances like, once again, ELoy Gila’s in the 61st minute who, after dribbling past the goalkeeper, couldn’t quite find the right spot to shoot.
The match developed equally, without many chances on either side, and in the final stretch the fact that Goldstar FC Santa Coloma was left with one less player due to the expulsion of Sergio Rodríguez after seeing the second yellow card did not help and that finished defining the result, sealing the victory by the minimum of the rival team.
