After the last match against Inter Club de Escaldes where Goldstar FC Santa Coloma would have deserved more, they faced each other again on Matchday 19 and this time the Colomenses did not forgive.
In a very disputed and very intense match as usual, the first time break arrived with a goalless draw despite both teams had tried, but with greater strength and precision from Santa Coloma. The team led by Fede Bessone opened the scoring as soon as the second half began, in the 49th minute, with a great individual action by David Virgili who scored low to the long post, far from the goalkeeper’s reach.
The 0-2, after the 60th minute, was created from a very powerful shot by Jordi Aláez that the rival goalkeeper touched enough to hit the crossbar but Rubén Herraiz did not forgive the rebound.
Inter Escaldes was forced to go one step further to try to close the gap in the final minutes and made it 1-2 in the 83rd minute, but Santa Coloma continued defending well and trying to maintain control of the ball and with this result the match ended. A fundamental victory that brings Goldstar closer to second position.
