Goldstar FC Santa Coloma opened matchday 25 with the game on Saturday night, which allowed them to be in second position waiting for what Inter d’Escaldes would do against Carroi FC.
The team led by Fede Bessone came out from the start determined to resolve the match.
Cristian Novoa already warned after the 10th minute with a shot that was a little too high. Soon, specifically in the 22nd minute, it was Víctor Alonso who tested the reflexes of the rival goalkeeper who managed to stop the ball in a foul.
And after many attempts, in the 33rd minute came Santa Coloma’s first goal, thanks to a cross from David Virgili that culminated in Cristian Novoa’s shot.
The second half began with a goal disallowed by Pas de la Casa, who tried harder in these minutes, but barely reached the area of Josep Gomes, Santa Coloma’s international goalkeeper, in danger.
Goldstar had several clear options to score the second goal but the sentence did not come until the 95th minute, with a goal by Miguel López from the edge of the area.
It was not the best game for the Colomian team but thanks to the result they were able to add the 3 points necessary to get closer to the leader.
