The final of the Constitución Cup was decided this Sunday the 28th at the National Stadium.

It was contested by Goldstar FC Santa Coloma and Inter de Escaldes, both Andorran representative teams in the upcoming UEFA Conference League.

The Colomense team led by Dmitry Chéryshev showed from the first minute that they wanted the title. With high-quality football they pressured his rival and already in the first minute they had a double chance that almost didn’t lead to the first goal on the scoreboard.
The goalkeeper of the opposing team avoided it by rejecting with the tip of his fingers a shot from Daniel Toribio from the front and after the rejection, he intervened again stopping a header from Eloy Gila.

In the 6th minute, Santa Coloma’s second approach to danger would come with a great personal move by Jordi Aláez, who missed the goal by millimeters at the second post.

Before Inter de Escaldes’ first approach on goal in the 18th minute, which Goldstar goalkeeper Josep Gomes correctly saved, they still had another chance.

The first goal arrived in the 34th minute thanks to a great play by David Virgili on the right, pass to Eloy Gila who placed it on the far post.

The Colomenses could extend the score thanks to a clear penalty in their favor, a handball inside the area, which the referee did not call and with 1-0 and the first half ended with nothing more to highlight.

In the resumption, however, Inter was in control of the game. In the 55th minute he was looking for an equaliser.

In the 65th, they tested Josep Gomes again with a shot placed on the far post, but the Andorran international goal responded forcefully.

FC Santa Coloma was able to extend the score with a counter in the 67th minute when Jordi Aláez gave it to Eloy Gila, who shot from the front to the right of the goalkeeper, as in the goal, but this time there was no surprise factor.

Inter’s reply, in the 70th minute, was definitive and they scored the equalizing goal for the team.

In the 82nd they again had a clear chance and again Gomes took a hand on the short post and kept the score level.

When people was starting to think about extra time in 90, the Inter attacker scored with a header that the goalkeeper could not stop, thus making his team the champion.
